The first act of Wagner’s “Walküre” – arranged for piano and three voices, very close to the audience. Instead of a bombastic staging, the focus here is on intimate, chamber-music playing: Sieglinde, Siegmund and Hunding in a room that allows no distance.
This version was developed for special venues — from the Porzellanfabrik Bayreuth to the theatre hall of the Münchenstift — and thrives on exactly this closeness.
